All our sausages are West Country made by Chinns' in Crediton Devon. Thick sliced bread for toast, from our local bakery in Wyke Regis, Sgt Bun. Eggs are free range, from Blackacre Farm, Somerset. We also do a full vegetarian breakfast with a gluten free option.
We are affiliated to the Dorset Seafood Campaign, & also part of Dorset Food & Drink. We use Dorchester based West Country Catch for local, sustainable fish ie: Weymouth Bay Grey Mullet, Poole Bay Plaice, Seabass, Abbotsbury Mackerel, Mussels from the River Axe in Devon. All the crab we use is fresh, hand picked Portland Crab from our local supplier Jeff Milner.
Our meats are mainly sourced from J.Mato & Son of Blandford Forum, Dorset, & of course our Chinns' sausages from Devon. Coastal Cheddar from Ashley Chase Farm, Litton Cheney, Dorset & Dorset real ale chutney from Cherry Tree preserves of Bridport.
Our afternoon cream teas feature homemade scones, with Dorset 'AJar Of' preserves & Blackmore Vale clotted cream. We use a selection of jams & chutneys when available from Dorset producer, 'AJar Of' & sell a retail selection of 'AJar Of' preserves for customers to enjoy at home.
We use locally grown mixed salad leaves (when in season) from Tincleton salad & herbs, Nr Dorchester.
We are passionate about a really great cup of coffee & tea at taste*. We have tried several blends in the past but love our Arcadia coffee blend from West Country Roasters Clifton Coffee, Bristol. Our loose leaf tea selection is award winning Suki tea served in a cute, contemporary Stump tea pot (all out Suki tea, Stump tea pots & Arcadia coffee are available for retail purchase by customers).
We have a lovely selection of beers from The Dorset Brewing Company, located just outside Dorchester, our range includes beers such as the, Chesil, Durdle Door, Jurassic & Yachtsamn, & we use RNLI West Country Water (a charitable water where a % of the wholesaler price paid goes to the RNLI).
