Here at taste* Chesil we use Marshfield Farm Ice Cream, we think these are some of the best ice creams we have tasted! It's not only us that say that, our customers love it aswell! Below you can read abit about how the ice cream is made:
At Marshfield Farm, they have been making premium dairy ice cream since 1988. When they're at their busiest in the summer, they can produce 2,500 litres of ice cream every hour – that’s enough to fill 31 bathtubs! What makes their ice cream really special is that they use real organic milk in their ice creams, which is produced from their herd of 200 Friesian cows on our 1,000-acre farm.
The cows are milked twice a day, 365 days of the year. Their milk makes up a massive 60% of every single tub of Marshfield Farm ice cream. Because the milking parlour is just a few metres across the farmyard from the ice creamery, the milk is incredibly fresh. A tub of ice cream can be on the shop shelf 24 hours after the cow was milked!
Every ingredient in their ice cream and sorbets is natural. They use real vanilla, real fruits and proper chocolate. You won’t find artificial flavourings, colourings or preservatives in any of their products. They select their ingredients carefully and locally - 75% of our ingredients are within a 50-mile radius of the farm. For instance, their strawberries and blackcurrants are from the Vale of Evesham, while their brownie pieces are made exclusively for them by Marshfield Bakery just down the road.
